Job Development


SouthWest Nu-Stop Recovery and Educational Center (SWNSREC) Job Development Coordinator promotes and develops employment and on job training opportunities for our members.  Working in partnership with the clinical team and members our coordinator identifies individual needs and assists in development of support services necessary to facilitate helping disenfranchised members become job-ready.

Our experience shows that with the right supports in place memberscan and are successful in finding meaningful employment.  In fact, at any given time, 50-75% of all SWNSREC clients are actively working in their communities.  SWNSREC job development efforts, while related to finding and maintaining meaningful employment, are driven by the needs of the clients and they are developed to address personalized skill acquisition.  Such supports can include, but are not limited to:


  • Discovery and Development of Personal Skills and Abilities

    • Identification of Interest Areas

    • Assistance in Resume Writing


  • Job Search:

    • Viable Employment Options

    • Research of Potential Employers and Applying for Available Positions

  • Job and Interview Readiness:

    • Practice and Preparation for Interviewing

    • One-on-One Onsite Job Coaching

  • Job Placement and Ongoing:

    • Job Etiquette Support

    • Maintenance of Employee and

    • Assistance in Clarification of Employer Expectations
